Oh wow, I thought you had to have a nice computer to do all those crazy effects and record and stuff. Which Mac are you getting? I would wait until after Snow Leopard is released (OS 10.6) which is around June of this year.

I have a big laptop which has Vista and a shitty 70 Gb HDD (which is basically maxed out), i think i need an external HDD. The extra 1 Gb of RAM added recently to take it up to 2 Gb RAM, didn't help all that much really

I have a small laptop (netbook) which runs XP is ok, but sound doesn't work and doesn't respond quickly and occasionally has probelms connecting to a network. But aside from that its ok.
